Overview

Run the entire Helix platform locally on your Mac. The MacOS app gives you a private, offline-capable AI agent stack powered by Apple Silicon — no cloud dependency required.

Supported Hardware

  • Mac Mini (M1/M2/M3/M4) — great for personal use and small teams
  • Mac Studio (M1/M2 Ultra) — recommended for heavier workloads and larger models
  • Mac Pro (M2/M4 Ultra) — maximum memory and compute for enterprise-grade local inference

Installation

Download the latest Helix MacOS installer:

What You Get

  • Full Helix controlplane running locally
  • Local LLM inference on Apple Silicon GPUs
  • Sandbox desktop environments
  • Web UI accessible at http://localhost:8080

Requirements

  • macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later
  • Apple Silicon (M1 or newer)
  • Minimum 16 GB unified memory (32 GB+ recommended)
