WiziShop data breach: 2.9M accounts exposed

In July 2020, the French e-commerce platform WiziShop suffered a data breach. The breach exposed 18GB worth of data including names, phone numbers, dates of birth, physical and IP addresses, SHA-1 password hashes and almost 3 million unique email addresses. Exposed data: dates of birth, email addresses, ip addresses, names, passwords, phone numbers, physical addresses. The breach dates from Jul 14, 2020; Have I Been Pwned loaded it on Oct 5, 2020.
What to do
- If you had a WiziShop account, change its password and the password of any other account that reused it.
- Turn on multi-factor authentication wherever it is offered.
- Check whether your addresses are in this breach at https://haveibeenpwned.com.
- Expect targeted phishing that quotes the leaked details; verify any unexpected contact out of band.
