Unraid Remote Code Execution Vulnerability (CVE-2020-5847)

Unraid contains a vulnerability due to the insecure use of the extract PHP function that can be abused to execute remote code as root. This CVE is chainable with CVE-2020-5849 for initial access. CISA added CVE-2020-5847 to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on Nov 3, 2021, which means attackers are exploiting it in the wild.

- US federal agencies must remediate by May 3, 2022 (BOD 22-01); treat that as the outer limit.
