RaidForums data breach: 478K accounts exposed

In May 2023, 478k user records from the now defunct hacking forum known as "RaidForums" was posted to another hacking forum. The data dated back to September 2020 and included email addresses, usernames, dates of birth, IP addresses and passwords stored as Argon2 hashes. Exposed data: dates of birth, email addresses, ip addresses, passwords, usernames. The breach dates from Sep 24, 2020; Have I Been Pwned loaded it on May 31, 2023.
What to do
- If you had a RaidForums account, change its password and the password of any other account that reused it.
- Turn on multi-factor authentication wherever it is offered.
- Check whether your addresses are in this breach at https://haveibeenpwned.com.
- Expect targeted phishing that quotes the leaked details; verify any unexpected contact out of band.
