MPGH data breach: 3.1M accounts exposed

In October 2015, the multiplayer game hacking website MPGH was hacked and 3.1 million user accounts disclosed. The vBulletin forum breach contained usernames, email addresses, IP addresses and salted hashes of passwords. Exposed data: email addresses, ip addresses, passwords, usernames. The breach dates from Oct 22, 2015; Have I Been Pwned loaded it on Oct 26, 2015.
What to do
- If you had a MPGH account, change its password and the password of any other account that reused it.
- Turn on multi-factor authentication wherever it is offered.
- Check whether your addresses are in this breach at https://haveibeenpwned.com.
- Expect targeted phishing that quotes the leaked details; verify any unexpected contact out of band.
