Jobandtalent data breach: 11.0M accounts exposed

In approximately February 2018, the employment website Jobandtalent suffered a data breach which then appeared for sale alongside other breaches a year later. The incident impacted 11 million subscribers and exposed their names, email and IP addresses and passwords stored as salted SHA-1 hashes. Exposed data: email addresses, ip addresses, names, passwords. The breach dates from Feb 1, 2018; Have I Been Pwned loaded it on Jan 17, 2021.
What to do
- If you had a Jobandtalent account, change its password and the password of any other account that reused it.
- Turn on multi-factor authentication wherever it is offered.
- Check whether your addresses are in this breach at https://haveibeenpwned.com.
- Expect targeted phishing that quotes the leaked details; verify any unexpected contact out of band.
