GNU C Library Buffer Overflow Vulnerability (CVE-2023-4911)

GNU C Library's dynamic loader ld.so contains a buffer overflow vulnerability when processing the GLIBCTUNABLES environment variable, allowing a local attacker to execute code with elevated privileges. CISA added CVE-2023-4911 to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on Nov 21, 2023, which means attackers are exploiting it in the wild.
