FreeType Out-of-Bounds Write Vulnerability (CVE-2025-27363)

FreeType contains an out-of-bounds write vulnerability when attempting to parse font subglyph structures related to TrueType GX and variable font files that may allow for arbitrary code execution. CISA added CVE-2025-27363 to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on May 6, 2025, which means attackers are exploiting it in the wild.
