D-Link DCS-2530L and DCS-2670L Command Injection Vulnerability (CVE-2020-25079)

D-Link DCS-2530L and DCS-2670L devices contains a command injection vulnerability in the cgi-bin/ddnsenc.cgi. The impacted products could be end-of-life (EoL) and/or end-of-service (EoS). Users should discontinue product utilization. CISA added CVE-2020-25079 to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on Aug 5, 2025, which means attackers are exploiting it in the wild.
What to do
- Apply mitigations per vendor instructions, follow applicable BOD 22-01 guidance for cloud services, or discontinue use of the product if mitigations are unavailable.
- US federal agencies must remediate by Aug 26, 2025 (BOD 22-01); treat that as the outer limit.
