Cyberattack on Poryadok: Russian home goods retailer hit — stores closed, online services down for five days
Severity: medium · Patch status: no-fix-needed · Since 2026-10-30
Russian home goods retailer Poryadok, operating 48 stores in 32 cities, was hit by a cyberattack that forced it to close some stores and suspend its website, mobile app and online services for five consecutive days. Customers could not collect paid-for orders, arrange returns, access loyalty bonuses or reach customer support; stores in Voronezh and other cities remained closed with notices citing technical problems. The company confirmed the cyberattack but did not disclose the breach vector, attacker, or whether customer data was compromised, and gave no restoration timeline. Services were still partially down as of October 30. The incident follows other recent Russian cyberattacks, including breaches of Dodo Pizza (claimed by DataSuckers) and online travel agency Anywayanyday.
What to do
- Monitor Poryadok service status before relying on orders, returns or loyalty redemptions
- Watch for phishing or scams targeting affected customers amid lack of breach-scope clarity
- Retailers: review resilience of e-commerce, POS and support channels against disruptive attacks
- Verify whether customer data was exposed once the company discloses more
