A vulnerability in the implementation of Network Address Translation (NAT) functionality in Cisco IOS could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service. CISA added CVE-2017-12231 to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on Mar 3, 2022, which means attackers are exploiting it in the wild.
