Cisco Catalyst 6800 Series Switches VPLS Denial-of-Service Vulnerability (CVE-2017-12238)

A vulnerability in the Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) code of Cisco IOS for Cisco Catalyst 6800 Series Switches could allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause a denial of service. CISA added CVE-2017-12238 to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on Mar 3, 2022, which means attackers are exploiting it in the wild.
