A place for the work to happen
Helix organisations create a shared space for conversations, projects, and agents. When a new organisation is created, users can choose Helix Models or connect an existing Claude or ChatGPT subscription. Bringing in an existing provider gets Helix up and running without using Helix credits.
The Chief of Staff is waiting for its first conversation. It can bring in specialists and coordinate their work. Here, Priya gives it an actual task.
A task for the Chief of Staff
The request is specific enough to get started and open enough to leave room for investigation:
I'd like you to bring up an agent to do an SEO analysis of helix.ml and come back with improvements that could help it appear higher in search results.
The task is to examine the site and report back. It doesn't name every page to visit or tell the agent what conclusion to reach. Anyone who's asked a colleague to look into a problem will recognise the shape of it.
On screen, the conversation has company. Beside it is a live view of the Chief of Staff's Ubuntu desktop, with an IDE and a browser. The workspace is part of the demonstration: the work is visible alongside the conversation.
The Chief of Staff takes the brief and creates an SEO Analyst. A second agent appears in the organisation with a narrower job. For the Chief of Staff, the task is to arrange the work and bring back the answer. For the analyst, it's time to open the website.
Two desktops, one job
The SEO Analyst's desktop is separate from the Chief of Staff's workspace. The analyst sets itself up, opens helix.ml in a browser, and starts checking pages.
The agent opens the browser, the site gets inspected, and the analyst writes an audit. That ordinariness is part of what makes the recording interesting. The work is recognisable: somebody has to look at the pages before offering advice about them.
The analyst sends its findings to the Chief of Staff, which returns them to the original conversation. Moving between the conversation and the specialist's desktop shows how the job travelled. It feels closer to following a colleague's work than waiting for an answer to appear from nowhere.
The Chief of Staff coordinates the SEO Analyst's investigation and brings the findings back to the user. The website owner reviews the report and decides what to do next.
